    Role description:
    Arcadis is looking for a Water Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Resilience Water Team in El Paso, TX.


    We are looking for a dedicated, creative, and energetic candidate, interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions to address water or wastewater issues related to quality, scarcity, reuse, management, and resilience.

    This role provides rapid growth and development opportunities; collaborating with other experienced Water Professionals, you will support, manage, and drive development of projects, interact, and work with clients, and develop your technical and professional capabilities.

    Role accountabilities:


    This role will support tasks and projects for the planning, design and construction of Water/Wastewater distribution/collection systems, pump/lift stations, and/or treatment plants.


    Other responsibilities include:
    Perform engineering evaluations, modeling, and analysis.

    Develop design and construction documents (i.e., reports, technical memoranda, specifications, and cost estimates).

    Support construction administration of projects and lead and/or assist permitting efforts.

    Work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams.

    Support preparation of proposals and develop scopes of work and budgets.

    Support client teams in identifying, tracking, and positioning for opportunities.


    Oversee scope of work and the operational workload of a project team including sub-contractors, ensuring work and resources are allocated appropriately.


    Supporting the production of, and quality assure analysis and design and the associated documentation and reports to ensure they meet or exceed client expectations as well as Arcadis requirements, and they comply with national standards and codes of practice.


    Travel may be required up to 25% for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee construction activities, depending on project staffing needs.


    Qualifications & Experience:
    Required Qualifications

    4 years of experience in engineering and consulting.

    Bachelors Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited school.

    EIT Certification or PE License.

    Key Skills/Abilities

    Design experience with water/wastewater treatment systems, distribution/conveyance, or pumping & storage facilities.

    Familiarity with AutoCAD, WaterCAD, InfoWater, SewerCAD, ArcGIS etc.

    Ability to support production of engineering reports.

    Technical writing and presentation skills.

    Proficient in relevant design software.

    Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

    Safety mindset.

    Preferred Qualifications

    7 years of experience in engineering and consulting, primarily related to the municipal water market.

    Master of Science or Master of Engineering in related field.

    PE License in Texas or ability to obtain reciprocity within 1 year.

    Ability to establish strong client relationships.

    Project Management experience is a plus.

    Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations.
