    The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the overall administration, organization, and evaluation of the hospital's human resources function in coordination with the Corporate Human Resources team. This position must integrate company values into daily practice.

    Essential Functions

    • Provides an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters, in collaboration with Corporate HR subject matter experts when necessary.
    • Contributes to the evaluation and revisions of organizational goals, structures, activities, and resources.
    • Ensures Hospital compliance with federal and state regulations relating to Human Resources issues.
    • Reviews and makes recommendations to Hospital and Corporate management for improvement of the Hospital's Human Resources related plans, procedures, and practices. Communicates changes in policies and procedures appropriately to all relevant staff.
    • Leads recruitment and onboarding functions for hospital. Provides Hospital New Employee Orientation and training.
    • Updates and reviews bi-weekly payroll data for corporate processing.
    • Works directly with department managers to assist them in personnel matters to include employee counseling.
    • Processes and coordinates Hospital Workers' Compensation claims administration, employee leave (FMLA, Military, etc.), and unemployment claims.
    • Maintains and updates employee and contract labor files and records, in keeping with regulatory and Corporate requirements.
    • Administers benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
    • Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Control standards.
    • Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization.
    Minimum Job Requirements

    Minimum Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline preferred.
    • Three years' generalist experience required.
    • Two years' experience in HR Management role required.
    • Experience in health care/hospital environment strongly preferred.
    Required Licenses, Certifications, and/or Documentation
    • HR certification (HRCI/SHRM) preferred.
    • Must maintain acceptable driving record, current driver's license, and insurability.
    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Knowledgeable in current HR laws, practices, and procedures.
    • Current knowledge of relevant employment law (e.g. Title VII, ADAAA, FMLA, etc)
    • Knowledgeable in employee relations, including performance management, difficult conversations, and disciplinary issues.
    • Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to remain objective.
    • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete complex tasks.
    • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
    • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
    • Ability to work closely and professionally with others at all levels of the organization.
    • Effective organizational and time management skills.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    Physical Requirements Over the Course of a Shift
    • A significant amount of sitting and walking, often for prolonged periods of time.
    • Lifting/exerting of up to 25 lbs.
    • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
    • Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
    • Ability to hear overhead pages.
