    Description
    Surgical Physician Assistant opening in ConnecticutLocated in Derby, CT70 miles to NYCFull TimePermanentExperience outside training as a Surgical PA requiredGroup is actively seeking a mid-level provider (NP or PA) physician to join our group,providing support to surgical services at hospital

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide first and second assist as needed to attending surgeons in the operating room.
    • Manage patients in postop recovery and on inpatient units.
    • Assist with surgical consults as needed.
    • Assist with discharge orders on surgical patients as needed.

    Education/Licensing Requirements:

    • Graduation from accredited APRN or PA program.
    • Valid and unrestricted Connecticut license.
    • Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience required in surgery or completion of surgical residency program.

    Health network is a non-profit hospital-owned multi-specialty group and provides clinical services as well as teaching faculty for Internal Medicine and Preventative Medicine residency programs at hospital.
