    Job Summary

    This role will have a primary focus on implementing and maintain Epic Compass Rose for UKHC Specialty Pharmacy.

    Responsibilities include serving as a liaison between Information Technology on pharmacy system optimization projects for all outpatient spaces while maintaining a focus on quality, safety and compliance; facilitating the formulary review process for specialty and non-specialty medications; participating in appropriate health system and/or departmental committees relevant to practice area; assisting with medication safety incident review with outpatient pharmacies.

    Optimize EHR support to assist with outpatient pharmacy workflow and data requirements. Work to implement and maintain Epic Specialty Pharmacy workflows using Epic Compass Rose module. Assist in the development and testing of pharmacy orders and workflows.

    Also responsible for supervising PharmD students, fellows, residents, undergraduate and graduate student teaching, and providing educational programs for hospital staff.

    Skills / Knowledge / Abilities


    Strong clinical skills; knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; a team mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in this position.

    Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

    PharmD and completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program (or equivalent experience) preferred.
