Preparing, instructing and grading all class coursework and/or supervising and evaluating student clinical experiences;
Assigning final grades by the established deadlines;
Being available to meet with students as needed to help promote student success;
Serve as professional role model while employed by the College.
Minimum of an Associate degree in a health related field from a regionally accredited institution;
Current certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) OR Florida licensure as a pharmacist;
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in retail or hospital pharmacy in role of pharmacy technician or pharmacist;
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;
Proven teaching abilities to convey basic concepts and theories in a practical and comprehensible way;
Ability to recognize and to respond to students from culturally diverse backgrounds;
Willingness to make students active partners in the teaching/learning process;
Computer literacy and experience using computers in classroom with a willingness to apply technology and innovative approaches to the teaching of specific discipline.
Experience teaching adults in a college setting and or clinical coordination experience.
Instructing assigned classes; grading all quizzes, tests, and written assignments;
Assigning final grades and delivering grades and grade justification sheets;
Maintaining regularly opportunities to meet with students;
Maintaining a safe and effective classroom environment;
Participating in department, division, and general adjunct faculty meetings;
Maintaining an active program of professional development related to individual, professional and institutional needs.
Completing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
