    Sleep Technician - $5,000.00 Sign on Bonus


    Who you are:


    As a Sleep Technician for Catholic Medical Center, you welcome our patients into the Sleep Center, calm their anxiety and fears and help them through the night as you conduct their physician-ordered sleep studies.


    What you'll do:

    • Perform sleep studies as ordered
    • Score sleep stages, sleep apnea, hypopnea, periodic limb movements and recognize certain EEG and EKG abnormalities and artifacts
    • Interview patient and document pertinent data for sleep study report. Take and document blood pressure pre and post sleep study.
    • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies that may arise during sleep studies
    • Calibrate and maintain all equipment necessary for sleep monitoring including pulse oximeter, monitor and defibrillator
    • Apply and adjust CPAP in accordance with procedure manual
    • Educate patients and assist caregivers with CPAP for set up and use in home
    • Maintain accurate record of sleep studies and results according to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards
    This is a full-time, benefitted night-shift position. Shift length is 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). The current schedule opening is Wednesday night through Friday night (this may be subject to change).


    What you'll bring:

    • 1 years' experience as a Sleep Tech
    • Registry-eligible Polysomnographer by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
    • RPSGT is required within one year of hire
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
