- Assists Director of Supply Chain & Procurement to develop overall department strategy and goals.
- Exercises best practices in inventory management, key performance metrics, inventory control procedures and other appropriate inventory metrics.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of a dynamic critical spares program to mitigate factors impacting availability and reliability within the scope of an Enterprise Risk Management program.
- Serves as a backup to Procurement for complex sourcing projects and assists in the development of negotiations to accomplish key milestones.
- Identifies prudent and economical inventory transfer opportunities, and the integrity of inventory through physical inventories and cycle counts to ensure the continuity of the overall operation.
- Adopts continual process improvements and root-cause analysis to achieve inventory efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Maintains a close working relationship with stakeholders from various departments, including Operations and Procurement to support materials planning and to determine the most cost effective and efficient method of sourcing in order to minimize total supply chain materials costs.
- Serves as a resource and provides key input into the development of best practices into legacy and/or newly developed tools and systems.
- Provides coaching to direct reports for performance and development goals, and manages their performance throughout the year.
- Ensures sufficient resources and training are available to perform work assigned to all materials staff.
- Identifies and makes proper disposal of surplus, obsolete, and scrap materials and equipment in accordance with the Materials Standards Committee.
- Provides management with advice and recommendations for quality improvement within the Supply Chain Department and champions supply chain activities that support corporate strategic goals.
- Develops and adheres to all supply chain materials budgets.
- Develops stock and non-stock procedures in coordination with internal customers.
- Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.

Description
Assists in the development and implementation of sound and effective Inventory and Asset Management policies and procedures that ensure the integrity and reliability of materials for all facilities including capital projects, operations, and maintenance. Manages material flow processes on a regular basis and maintains overall authority and accountability for all inventory and stock material locations. Assists in developing and implementing overall Supply Chain strategy initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree 8 total years of experience including at least 5 years management experience.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
CPM or CPSM
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications, and business financial applications used for procurement, projects/work orders, inventory, and payables.
