The Wesleyan is hiring a part-time Floor Tech to work evenings within our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation CommunityPrior housekeeping experience specifically in the area of floor maintenance along with a keen eye for detail, a passion for brightening spaces, and a desire to make a positive difference through cleanliness and care will be essential to the success of this position. As a Floor Tech Housekeeper at The Wesleyan, you will be a part of a mission and values-based organization that provides endless opportunities for career growth.

This position is a part-time evening position with a shift time of 2:00PM-8:00PM five days per week.

Essential Functions:

Perform carpet/floor cleaning and maintenance in accordance with directives from supervisor.
Sweep and mop floors.
Clean common areas of building.
Empty and clean trash containers.
Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
Arrange furniture and equipment.
Perform cleaning procedures with appropriate chemicals
Assist with preparation of resident rooms for new occupancy.
Clean toilets, sinks, metal fixtures and fittings.
Wipe down glass surfaces.
Clean handrails, baseboards, and walls.
Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition.
Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements.
Clean, organize and restock cart at end of the shift.
Follow all company safety and security procedures giving attention to safe environmental conditions of resident rooms and all other areas.
Economical use of supplies.
Keep Housekeeping Supervisor informed of any unusual situations.
Other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor

Qualifications:

A minimum of one year experience in housekeeping, preferably in a senior living or healthcare community.
Prior knowledge of carpet, floor, and housekeeping duties preferred.
Able to speak, read, and write English with clarity, sufficient to communicate with residents and teammates, follow instructions, identify materials from their labels and understand their directions for use.
A service-minded approach to all aspects of the job.
A passion for working within a senior living or skilled nursing community is a plus.
Alignment with and enthusiasm about The Wesleyan's culture and core values.
