    Job Description


    Summary of Position:


    Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the maintenance technicians and overseeing the work performed. Maintenance Supervisors will direct their teams to maintain and repair all equipment within the facility, while documenting this in Revol Green's maintenance system. All repairs will be tracked and monitored, as well as equipment condition to assess the equipment's health and downtime. Additionally, they will assist with the implementation of new equipment.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

      • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department
    • Assist Maintenance Manager with developing maintenance procedures and schedules
    • Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects
    • Is responsible for succession planning and developing career paths of maintenance technicians
    • Responsible for seeing that all maintenance tasks are tracked through Fiix (CMMS) to ensure that proper inventory, budgeting, and scheduling are documented.
    • Manages and trains the maintenance team on industry best practices, policies, and procedures to ensure that people and food safety are number one priority.
    • Conducts annual performance reviews of Maintenance Tech I, II, and III, to ensure that they are achieving the outlined goals
    • Assists growing team with troubleshooting growing systems such as Priva, Blue Radix, iUNU
    • Participates in rotating on-call work schedules, as well as vacation coverage.
    • Ensures all repairs are performed safely and enforces OSHA guidelines
    • Hires and trains maintenance department staff
    • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff
    • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
    • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
    • Assist and perform any other related duties as required or assigned

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • Ability to troubleshoot 480V, 400V, 120V, 24V and 12VDC systems
    • Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, parts diagrams, and engineering drawings
    • Knowledge of utility maintenance including irrigation systems, electric, and IT
    • Able to stand, squat, or kneel for extended periods of time
    • Repetitive arm, shoulder, and hand movement the entirety of the shift
    • Ability to lift to 50lbs
    • Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations

    Education and Experience:

    • 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility
    • 2 years of maintenance supervisory experience preferred
    • Ability to obtain Refrigeration and Boiler Certification within first 90 days of employment
    • Experience with roll stock packaging equipment and robotics, preferred
    • Forklift certified

    Supervisory:

    • This position is directly responsible for supervising the three levels of Maintenance Technicians

    Work Environment:


    Greenhouse, 40%

    • The temperatures in the greenhouse very depending on the weather outside
    • Climate can range from hot and humid to cold depending on the location and time of year
    • PPE must be worn at all times

    Packhouse, 40%

    • The temperatures in the packhouse are between 34-38° F to preserve product quality
    • PPE must be worn at all times

    Office, 20%

    • Sitting at a desk and/or starring at a computer screen for extended periods of time

    Physical Requirements:

    • Constantly ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
    • Occasionally moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
    • Occasionally remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
    • Constantly moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
    • Occasionally adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
    • Occasionally performing heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
    • Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
    • Occasionally operating machinery and/or power tools.
    • Occasionally operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
