    Description
    The Scrum Master has primaryresponsibility of facilitating the learning and growth of one ormore Agile teams in developing a lean-Agile mindset, improvingpractices and guiding them to more predictabledelivery.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    The Scrum Master plays a role infacilitating Agile ceremonies and cadences, guiding servicedelivery orientation, and supporting teams in establishing andmanaging effective practices related to; visualization, WIP limits,flow management, feedback loops, and continuousimprovement.

    The Scrum Master has intermediateknowledge of Agile, Lean, Scrum, and Kanban to help shift the teamfrom 'Doing Agile' to 'Being Agile'. The SM understands the valueof managing queue lengths, limiting WIP, recognizes the patterns,and is able to coach the team on these concepts while helping themachieve organizational "Customer-Driven" maturity and resiliency.Those in this role will be skilled in facilitation at the teamlevel as well as in partnership with Engineering, Product, andOperations.

    Backlog ManagementPractices:
    • Works with Product Managers & Product Owners and team membersto learn and practice healthy backlog management and prioritizationpractices
    • Facilitates the execution andimprovement of backlog refinement
    • Preparesfor and facilitates release planning with teams
    • Assists in dependency management and cross teamcoordination
    • Responsible for improvingquarterly intent planning and associated processes to develop anddrive vision, roadmap, backlog and pre- and post- quarterly intentplanning
    • Facilitates periodic synchronizationmeetings, including delivery teams at the program level
    • Monitors and tracks planning, completion andimplementation metrics
    • Provides data andinformational updates to help all stakeholders track planning /implementation progress
    • Summarizes teamplanning objectives, publishing and communicating for visibilityand transparency
    Lean / Agile CeremonyFacilitation:
    • Facilitates continuous improvement and the developmentof a learning culture on teams
    • Facilitatesceremonies, collaboration, communication, and conflictmanagement
    • Teaches new team membersAgile-Lean values, principles, methods and frameworks, practices,and process
    • Influences the organization inthe removal of organizational impediments and development ofhealthy Agile practices
    • Mentors ProductOwners and team members in agile practices and continuousimprovement
    Delivery TeamSupport:
    • Helps identify and mitigate impediments to the team's Flow &Service Level Expectations
    • Acts as a bufferbetween external distractions to minimize disruptions - champions"Stop Starting - Start Finishing" behaviors
    • Assists in the coordination of operational issueresolution
    • Facilitates team development,mediates conflict, and encourages healthy team dynamics.
    • Fosters team responsibility, self-accountability,transparency and self-organization
    • Leveragescoaching skills to help the team learn to solve its ownproblems
    Advice and Guidance:
    • Introduces and encourages team to explore healthy Agiledevelopment practices, focus on quality and technical excellence,predictable delivery, automation, and continuousdelivery
    • Teaches and encourages a balancedbacklog that delivers valuable features for customers, reducestechnical debt, provides business value, and enables productsustainability
    • Helps the team to develop,capture, and analyze metrics to facilitate teamimprovements
    • Promotes transparency throughhealthy communications and data integrity
    Change Management:
    • Plans,designs and implements activities to transition the organizationand people to the required future state.
    • Identifies and implements change via influence.
    • Utilizes proven methodologies, such as ADKAR, Lewin'smodel, McKinsey, etc. to lead and influence team and organizationalchange management.
    • Demonstrates systemsthinking skills in regards to how change will affect their teamsand the organizational process, as a whole.
    Responsibilities:

    • Facilitatescontinuous improvement.
    • Assists upstreamKanban management and options selection.
    • Helps team manage and improve flow leveraging limiting WIP, riskhedging (classes of service), feedback loop improvements, andestablishment of outcome focused policies.
    • Facilitates transparency of metrics, impediment removal,collaboration, and coordination.
    • Facilitates& supports establishment of continuous learning &continuous improvement.
    WHO YOU ARE:
    • Must livein the Atlanta Georgia area.
    • Bachelor'sdegree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience as a ScrumMaster. The right candidate could also have a differentcombination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years'experience; or 14 years' experience in a related field
    • Working experience in more than one of the followingLean-Agile methods or frameworks: Kanban, Scrum with Kanban, Scrum,Extreme Programming (XP), Lean applied to KnowledgeWork.
    • Working experience with Agile scalingframeworks, preferably SAFe.
    DesirableCertifications:
    • Scrum Master certification or equivalent certifiedprofessional
    • Kanban Management Professional(KMP) or equivalent and higher.
    • ProfessionalScrum with Kanban (PSK).
    • SAFe AgilistCertification.
    • Experience and knowledgeworking with Lean-Kanban product technology and servicesteams.
    • Kanban or equivalent certification -Kanban Management Professional (KMP) or higher.
    • Professional Scrum with Kanban (PSK).

    Compensation:

    Compensationincludes a base salary of $77, $116, The base salarymay vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factorssuch as the ultimate location of the position and the selectedcandidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may beeligible for additional compensation that may include an incentiveprogram.
