**Description**

Perform daily cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods for cleaning, disinfecting, dusting and polishing of all surfaces, walls, windows, furniture and fixtures as well as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and shampooing of floors, cleaning and disinfection of bathroom and showers throughout the facility, school and units.

Assist in cleaning and disinfection of emergency spills and messes upon request.

Empty facility wastebaskets, shred barrels and ashtrays indoors and outside, using the proper disposal methods for each type of waste.

Count and distribute clean linens and pick up soiled linens from the Unit Leads using the proper procedure for preparing the soiled linens for pickup by the contracted cleaner.

Assist in cleaning and disinfection of emergency spills and messes upon request.

Execute basic, corrective and preventive maintenance as directed by supervisor with minimal supervision to i.e., change light bulbs, ceiling tiles, shampoo carpets and strip, clean, and buff floors, etc.

Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and general working maintenance, reporting the need for repair of equipment, furniture, fixtures and building.

Maintain a safe working and living environment by following safety and infection control practices and by following instructions and completing the Material Safety Data Sheet for chemical incidents. If any safety concerns or issues are reported to you, immediately take corrective action and report to the Safety Risk Officer.

Perform assigned duties during disaster situations per the organizations policies and procedures

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
