    Job Title: Patient Care Assistant at CHRISTUS Children's Hospital

    As a Patient Care Assistant at CHRISTUS Children's Hospital, you will be working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse/licensed Nurse to provide essential support in routine patient care tasks.

    This role involves assisting with both patient care activities and administrative duties, ensuring a smooth operation within the unit.


    About CHRISTUS Children's Hospital:

    • Established in 1959, it is the first children's hospital in South-Central Texas.
    • With over 190 beds, the hospital caters to more than 70,000 children annually.
    • Partnered with Baylor College of Medicine, it stands as the sole academic children's hospital in San Antonio.
    • Offers a wide range of specialized services, including Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care, Children's Emergency Services, Heart Center, Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, among others.

    Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Basic patient care and computer skills.
    • Ability to follow instructions diligently, maintain professionalism, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
    • Preference for bilingual candidates (English/Spanish).
    • Previous patient care experience in an acute care setting and holding a Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is highly valued.
    • Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification is a must.
