    Job Title: Manager Sterile Processing

    Overview:

    The Manager Sterile Processing will be responsible for the operational objectives of the Central Sterilization department at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, providing management and guidance in the preparation and sterilization of instrumentation and packs, and equipment assembled and dispensed through the department.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement all departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and professional standards for sterile processing.

    • Review and update existing departmental policies and procedures annually.

    • Interview and hire staff for Sterile Processing, monitor progress, and conduct staff meetings and inservice trainings.

    Requirements:

    • High School Graduate or GED equivalent required.

    • 5 years acute care hospital experience required.

    • 3 years managerial experience directly related to Sterile Processing required.

    Certifications:

    • Certified and Registered Central Service Technician Certification (CRCST) required.

    • AHA BLS card required.

    • Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) required within 6 months of hire.

    • LA County Fire Card required within 90 days of hire and maintained during employment.
