As a Maintenance Tech ll at The Maybourne Beverly Hills, you will be part of our dedicated maintenance team responsible for maintaining the physical condition of our hotel.
This role provides a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in hotel maintenance and contribute to our commitment to delivering a memorable stay for our guests.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesJob duties include; although are not limited to:
Perform the day-to-day maintenance and repair of building systems such as lighting, plumbing, electrical and structural (doors, ceilings, flooring etc.)
Performs repairs as needed on mechanical, electrical, kitchen and laundry equipment.
Performs engineering projects as assigned by the Director of Engineering and or Manager's
Maintains cleanliness of storage rooms, maintenance room and flammable storage rooms.
Ensures fire safety equipment (fire alarm system, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers) are operational.
Notifies the Department heads when major repairs are needed.
Ensures that all maintenance tools are in good working condition and stored neatly and securely in the maintenance room.
Performs other tasks as needed by other departments.
Complies with all OSHA, ADA, and other safety and security policies.
Assist other engineers and mechanics in repairs.
Corrects guest room heating and air conditioning malfunctions.
Maintains/repairs kitchen equipment.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other building systems efficiently and effectively.
Conduct complex repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to fixing electrical circuits, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and minor carpentry work
Provide guidance and training to entry-level maintenance technicians as needed
Report to work on time, in proper clean uniform.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 3 years of experience in building maintenance; hotel maintenance preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical school or trade school certification is a plus.
EPA Universal license HVAC, PM Tech preferred, CPO issued by Los Angels County is a plus.
Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, equipment, and systems.
Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ability to lift and carry objects, tools, equipment, and supplies weighing up to or around 100lbs is required. This may include moving furniture, appliances, and maintenance materials.
The position may involve extended periods of standing, walking, and moving about the hotel property. Technicians may be required to traverse various areas, including guest rooms, corridors, and outdoor spaces.
Technicians should be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch to access and repair equipment, fixtures, and systems located at different heights and angles.
Technicians must have the ability to reach and stretch to access equipment and systems, including those located above shoulder height or in confined spaces.
Proficiency in the safe and effective use of maintenance tools and equipment, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, power tools, and test instruments, is essential.
Depending on the specific maintenance task, technicians may be required to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding to access elevated areas within the hotel.
The ability to perform tasks that require fine motor skills and precise hand-eye coordination, such as repairing small components or handling wiring, is important.
