    Description

    At Verizon, we're looking for a skilled Outside Plant Technician to join our team. This role is all about ensuring the efficiency and preparedness of our outside facilities.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant equipment such as aerial, underground, submarine, buried, block and house cables, poles, and associated hardware/fixtures.
    • Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching various kinds of hardware to wires, cables, building or poles.
    • Reading and interpreting engineering work orders.
    • Performing construction work using designated equipment.
    • Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment.
    • Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, and moving/lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs.

    You'll be working on America's fastest and most reliable network, and you'll need to have:

    • A valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
    • CDL or the ability to obtain one.

    The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
