    Job Description
    A Global Satellite Communications Business company seeks a Business Development & Marketing specialist.

    Essential Job Functions
    Business Development
    Sold satellite communications lines to U.S. customers and others (including assisting VPs)
    Supported development and sales of new space-related businesses (satellite communications, observation satellites, space situational awareness, debris removal business, etc.)


    • Achieves the sales quota which is discussed and agreed between the incumbent and management.
    • Travels through assigned territory to call on existing and prospective customers, and to attend trade shows for
    business opportunities.


    • Develops new businesses through introduction of the company and product positioning.
    • Researches and compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from
    newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trades shows, Internet Web sites, referrals and other sources.

    Other & Miscellaneous


    • Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
    • Performs other duties and projects as assigned by Company management.
    • Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
    • Reports all irregular issues and problems to management for solution.
    • Maintains good communication with supervisors, other staff members, customers and others.
    • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area including any work conducted at customer sites.
    Qualifications
    Education & Work Experience

    • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business Administration or equivalent from fouryear college or university; or 5+ years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Flexible working hours (evenings and weekends as needed)
    • Able to travel (overseas and domestic travel)
    • A few years of sales experience (aerospace or telecom industry preferred but open to other relevant industries)
    • Eager, proactive personality and willingness to learn
