Adapts classroom activities assignments and/or materials under direction of supervising teacher for purpose of supporting reinforcing classroom objectives administers tests homework make-up work etc. supports teachers in class attends meetings and in-service presentations acquires/conveys information relative to job functions documents student's daily activities evaluates situations involving other staff students parents public etc takes action/provides referral for resolution maintains instructional materials manual electronic files/records ensures availability items provides written reference meets mandated requirements models conversation manners clean up activities listening everyday interactions demonstrates appropriate social behavior culturally sensitive manner monitors student's daily schedule behavior plan maintains safe positive learning environment provides under supervision assigned teacher instruction to students individual group activities reinforces instructional objectives implements IEP plans ensures students success school remains with student at all times providing safety student removing student when necessary de-escalating situations outside class responds emergency situations resolves immediate safety concerns assists medically fragile physically disabled students maintaining personal hygiene performs other related duties ensuring efficient effective functioning work unit.
