    Contractor for Network Engineer role

    Duration 3-6 months

    Fully Remote - based in the US

    ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

    The Network Engineer works closely with Networks customers, Product teams, and Operation teams to design, implement, maintain, and monitor Network products and the customers' premise equipment at remote locations. This role will be responsible for implementing and testing Internal and customers' networks end to end.

    In this role, the Network Engineer will serve as Subject Matter expert in the field of communication services and applications, specifically used in the maritime cruise industry.

    Primary Responsibilities / Key Result Areas

    ? Provide implementation support for all Network related services sold to our customers.

    ? Interreact daily with teams responsible for activating and supporting service to our customer base.

    ? Support network service activation for the Cruise ship industry.

    ? Manage the relationship with peers and third parties to deliver a successful and optimized net-work and Satellite environment.

    ? Create, disseminate and (as required) update documentation of Networks of identified network processes, procedures, and controls.

    ? Work directly with customers and other internal departments and organizations to facilitate net-works engineering implementation, and acceptable levels service.

    ? Manages tools required to efficiently operate within the networking team - specifically Monitoring and management tools.

    ? Follow up on deficiencies identified in monitoring reviews, self-assessments, automated assessments, and internal and external audits to ensure that appropriate remediation measures have been taken.

    ? Provide Pre-Sales support as needed.

    Qualification & Experience

    ? BS degree in IT or equivalent filed

    ? CCNP, or CCDP, or JNCIP is a must.

    ? CCIE, JNCIE certification is a plus.

    ? 5 years' experience in network engineering (routers, switches, IP Networks)

    ? Expert knowledge and experience in Maritime industry communications and applications.

    ? Professional level at various IGP protocols.

    ? Professional level knowledge of Switching Protocols.

    ? Professional level in BGP protocol.

    ? Expertise on Service provider and Enterprise networks

    ? Experience with network security and network management

    ? Be proficient on Linux, and Windows servers

    ? Experience in Satellite Communication systems preferred
