    Job Description Summary:

    Position Overview:

    Lab Technicians help support that future and we're looking for an individual that will support the execution of new technical solutions and business continuity initiatives designed to create a robust pipeline of innovation and supply continuity across the juice category.

    The ideal candidate will have a background in horticulture, botany, food science or a related science-based field and be curious and eager to be part of the largest beverage company I the world.


    Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

    • Support/Co-lead field research experiments requiring fruit harvesting, extraction, and processing, as well as data collection, summary, interpretation, and communication.
    • Conduct experiments (e.g. laboratory, research, or process) to deliver on ideation, innovation and business continuity initiatives by evaluating ingredients, materials, products, and processes.
    • Manage work requests from multiple scientists and schedule for maximum efficiency. Communicate openly with scientists regarding timing and progress of requested work.
    • Perform wet chemistry techniques using instrumental methods to determine the composition of ingredient and finished goods samples.
    • Write detailed & accurate reports for analyses, experiments, or projects. Meet project timelines and make recommendations to your function/team/manager based on your research findings.
    • Participate in team projects and cross-functional collaborations, and share information, ideas, and observations that drive projects to an impactful solution.
    • Support and execute research projects assigned by line manager from idea generation to research execution through close discussion and alignment with the product development and Analytical Science teams as well as other collaborators and stakeholders.
    • Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation (e.g., troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance, calibrating, and repairing). Maintain cleanliness of labs and storage areas.
    • Collaborate with multiple function subject matter experts and leaders to identify and validate fit-for purpose solutions based on project needs and scope.

    Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Food Science, Horticulture, Chemistry or related field is required.

    Related Work Experience:

    • General knowledge of beverage ingredients including juices, flavors, and dry ingredients is helpful, but not required.
    • Must possess the ability to recognize and protect proprietary information as it relates to formulas and ingredients.
    • Must be willing to share ideas and differences of opinion with other scientists regarding project work.
    • Ability to learn and apply project management principles in your everyday work.

    Skills:

    • Must have solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and must quickly adapt to communication tools used within your department/function
    • Leverage prior education, literature, and experiences to execute scientific research projects within scope of briefs provided by other technical experts or supervisor.
    • Ability to apply technical knowledge and establish credibility through written reports and verbal presentations with highly technical audiences in order to build technical relationships that will benefit customers, or the Company is needed.

    Pay Range:
    $74,100 - $92,400

    Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
