    Duties


    • Conduct analysis, review, and special studies of financial management and/or cost information.
    • Review and assesses the long-term effects of financial management guidelines, such as new or revised legislation on assigned programs.
    • Provide advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting, cost estimating and financial management related information.
    • Responsible for all aspects of the formulation, development, and execution of budgets, financial plans, and multi-year programs to properly fund and meet program resource requirements.
    • Participate in the development of financial planning objectives by evaluating cost/schedule trade offs, budget requirements
    • Maintain expertise in the technical aspects of all systems and related programs within the finance community's area of responsibility
    • Analyze financial management relationships and develops appropriate recommendations for senior leadership decision support accommodation actions under conditions of short and rapidly changing programs and data call deadlines.
    • Provide financial management expertise, technical advice and guidance, and leadership in performing a broad and extensive range of financial management program planning and analysis.
    • Research, compile, and summarize data involving commitments, obligations, expenses, and object class/line item information, narrative information, and quantitative budgetary data for use in preparing budget estimates

    • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

    Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled
    Specialized experience would be demonstrated by applying accounting theories, practices, methods, techniques and procedures; analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports; resolving discrepancies in financial data; developing recommendations for improvements to accounting procedures; and examining assigned accounts and preparing reconciliations, adjustments and/or analysis of the accounts

    Education THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law ,Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d.

    Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program
    This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position
    Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action
