- Supervise and guide Interns and Resident physicians in treating patients and families facing psychosocial challenges.
- Take part in managing the therapeutic treatment of patients with psychosocial difficulties.
- Develop and enhance an evaluation system to assess performance on clinical rotations, faculty performance, teaching effectiveness, and program outcomes.
- Coordinate and lead the training of medical students, physician assistant students, and pre-med majors.
- Prepare and update Behavioral Sciences and Psychiatry curriculum to meet educational requirements and ensure a comprehensive approach.
- Supervise physician training, orientation, and teaching techniques to provide a holistic approach to Behavioral Science.
- Facilitate interpersonal communication and act as a liaison with relevant departments and community organizations.
- Attend meetings to implement program policies, plan goals, and review program performance.
- Provide therapeutic treatment and serve as a consultant referral source for physicians and their families.
- Deliver educational lectures and supervise special projects as assigned.
- Assist with grant writing and supervision of grant areas.
- Qualifications:
- Hold a Masters' Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- Require a valid license with the Department of State.
- Two years' experience in Behavioral Science in a medical setting.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations.
- Skills in treatment approaches, sociocultural factors, and community resources utilization.
- Strong supervisory, management, and teaching abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including grant writing.
