- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and transportation partners.
- Track, document and manage shipments throughout their entire life cycle.
- Proactively update customers on shipment status and provide needed documentation as soon as it becomes available.
- Perform profit and cost analysis for your accounts / customers. This entails setting up service reports for your customers.
- Analyze routes and means of transportation, negotiate fees, and coordinate with your team.
- Build good working relationships with customers and internal team members.
- Adhere to all needs and/or special requests and/or SOP's specific to each account.
- Coordinate with carriers throughout the shipping process to ensure proper delivery and level of service.
- Be prepared to take on new tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Collecting and analyzing data concerning transportation trends to understand changing needs
- An individual with exceptional organizational skills capable of juggling multiple tasks.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Has a existing book of business
- 2-3 years logistics experience required
- The ideal candidate will have a background in sales and operations
- Ability to communicate thoroughly and professionally with all internal/external parties
- Ability to be highly organized/detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask, problem solve and function in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and TMS system.

About the Role:
West Coast Trans Alliance, located in Elk Grove Village, IL, is in search of a detail-oriented and proactive Account Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves comprehensive management and onboarding of client portfolios and daily operational tasks. The Account Manager will be the primary contact for all matters pertaining to their assigned clients, proactively identifying and addressing client requirements, coordinating internal efforts to meet client timelines, and contributing to the overall success of our clients' endeavors. The Account Manager will also focus on acquiring new clients through cold calls, emails and visiting prospective customers.
