    RESPEC is an IT consulting and services company that seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist who will provide support to the Indian Health Service Software Engineering and Support Services (SESS) federal contract.

    The Quality Assurance Specialist will work in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment and is responsible for owning and supporting multiple project priorities. This role will be client-facing and the candidate must have the ability to interact successfully with both internal and external clients to understand client needs and resolve issues. The Quality Assurance Specialist will maintain, collect, analyze and interpret program data to assess effectiveness.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supports the development and implementation of quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines and procedures
    • Supports the development and definition efforts of major and minor characteristics of quality including quality metrics and scoring parameters and determines requisite quality control resources for an actual effort
    • Maintains a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation and/or assists in the evaluation
    • Conducts and/or participates in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development cycle
    • Conducts regular audits to identify and rectify inaccuracies, inconsistencies or incompliance
    • Ensures data security and privacy compliance
    • Prepares clear and concise reports for internal and external stakeholders
    • Collaborates with supervision, team and external partners as needed
    • Conducts functional testing to verify that software meets specified requirements; and
    • Participates in special projects alas required.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics or business/finance
    • 8 years' industry experience
    • Knowledge of functional testing methodologies and techniques
    • May substitute with Master's and 6 years experience and 4 years specialized.
    • Detail-Oriented
    • Good problem-solving skills
    • Team player who works well with clients and colleagues at all levels
    • Excellent time management skills to work on tight deadlines
    • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of Indian Health Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS) or any other major Electronic Health Record System. "Is a plus"
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization.
    • Proven ability to work effectively on a remote/distributed team.

    Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise.
