    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Produces designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems.
    • Documentation of parts and bills of materials
    • Understands and adheres to design and drafting standard practices.
    • Works from oral or written engineering instructions, procedures, schematics, drawings and sketches.
    • Responsible for completion of assignments, detects and corrects own errors. Not responsible for supervision or work of others.
    • Maintains competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company provided training and materials.
    • Must be customer driven and quality minded in performance of all assigned duties.
    • Adheres to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
    • May be required to travel to various locations to support products or train other personnel.
    • Works with minor independent judgment under close direction of senior staff. Work content and accuracy reviewed by engineers or senior department members.

    PHYSICAL EFFORT:

    • Moderate. Mobility required acquiring necessary information from other areas or departments. Occasionally required to lift materials for support of supplier development, product prototype, or laboratory build and test.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Associate Degree in mechanical, electrical or electronic design from an accredited technical school or a minimum of three (3) years of Trane or Climate Solutions practical experience with acceptable references.
    • Understands basic principles of designing equipment, drafting and computer aided design and applies principles to assigned tasks.
    • Working knowledge of computer aided graphic system.
    • Function in a technical engineering "team" environment.
