Skillset / Experience:

INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Network Security Engineer for one of its midstream oil and gas clients. We are seeking someone with extensive experience with the Fortinet platform. This person will take charge of the implementation and configuration of Fortinet across on-prem and AWS platforms.

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Implement Fortinet products across on-premises and AWS cloud environments.
• Create and publish reference architectures and run books for the network and firewall landscape.
• Implement SD-WAN on Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
• Coach and train team members on Fortinet technologies to enhance their skills.
• Utilize automation for deployments and configuration consistency.
• Manage software and hardware life cycles effectively.
• Contribute to monitoring and supporting network and firewall environments.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate degree or equivalent experience
• Fortinet Certified Professional Accreditation.

Experience:

• A minimum of 7+ years in networking roles with a specific focus on Fortinet SD-WAN for at least 3+ years.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Next Generation Firewalls.
• Expertise in FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiMonitor platforms.
• Proficiency in automation for deploying configurations and software.
• A strong grasp of Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Intrusion Detection, and Anti-Virus systems.
• A solid understanding of key technologies and protocols such as BGP, OSPF, RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSec, 802.1Q.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within teams and with senior management for strategic and operational initiatives.
• Excellent documentation, technical writing, and presentation skills.
• Experience in the AWS cloud environment is highly desirable.
