The Boston University Libraries seek an Electronic Resources Manager to oversee the licensing acquisition discovery and management of electronic resources including e-books e-journals databases and other digital materials.The Electronic Resources Manager will have a strong understanding of the full lifecycle of electronic resources management as well as experience in vendor communication negotiation license agreements creation maintenance orders for library content user discovery access maintenance assessment evaluation training supervision evaluation staff workflow documentation best practices leadership mentorship collaboration with colleagues project participation publication national conferences engagement with relevant professional organizations
This role requires expertise in Alma Primo VE EZproxy SUSHI OpenURL link resolvers proxy servers authentication methods COUNTER usage data analytical reporting collection development metrics quality control performance evaluation continuous professional development
The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree in Library Science related field minimum three years experience working in electronic resources management metadata serials/continuing resources acquisitions strong communication skills excellent interpersonal skills ability to negotiate manage relationships build strong teams lead large-scale projects maintain transparent open communication foster inclusive collaborative environment promote diversity equity inclusion knowledge sharing best practices service development sustainability.
