Position: Certified Pharmacy Technician

Location: New Orleans, LA

Job Type: Part- Time which will become Full-Time (Monday - Friday Day shift)

Job Overview: Our Nursing Home client is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Pharmacy Technician to join their team in New Orleans. This full-time position will be integral in supporting our pharmacy operations, ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medication to residents
• Manage inventory levels, restocking supplies as needed
• Process prescription orders while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Handle pharmaceutical preparations including counting, labeling, and packaging
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist with resident inquiries

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program
• Valid Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Louisiana
• Prior experience in a pharmacy setting, nursing home experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of computer and pharmacy software
