    Job Description Description:
    Assist manufacturing engineers in the design and implementation of manufacturing processes and systems. Evaluate and propose needed machinery and manufacturing tools. Assist the development of plant or area layouts to facilitate product flow. Employ lean manufacturing tools and specifications. Assist in the training of operators on key processes; assist in creating work instructions and documenting processes.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Support the creation and maintenance of process documentation and work instructions.
    Support efforts to update internal process specifications.
    Assist in Lean activities (layouts, process maps, VSM, Kaizen events, training, etc.).
    Aid in the identification and implementation of process and assembly improvements.
    Assist in the design and development of tooling using CAD software.

    Support the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.

    Research the feasibility and performance of equipment, components, and systems.
    Research and implement improved methods for tooling storage and control.
    Assist in hands on manufacturing of products as needed
    Troubleshoot process and equipment failures and coordinate actions to restore functionality.
    Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    Pursuing a BS degree in a manufacturing or engineering related discipline is required.
    Must be proficient in operation of a computer and using Microsoft word, excel, and outlook.
    Ability to communicate and work well with a cross functional teams.
    CAD or 3D modeling and design knowledge preferred.
