    What you'll do :

    Due to the growth of our business , we are currently seeking a Product Design Engineer III to support with the design and productization of our Turbo, Electrical/Drive, and Industrial Control Panel products . Day-to-day activities will include engineering design, CAD, product support, new product development, and working hands-on with capital equipment in testing environments. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Taking ownership of the engineering design process for complex electro-mechanical systems, comprising advanced components such as VFDs, motors, harmonic filters, and blower stages, as well as sophisticated on-board electronic control systems consisting of CPUs, PLCs, HMIs, and various instruments. You will be responsible for ensuring that designs are executed in accordance with engineering best practices while employing comprehensive documentation and revision control techniques.
  • Engaging in collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across this organization and its subsidiaries, including project management, purchasing, production, and customer support teams. Your technical expertise and training capabilities will be invaluable in supporting their needs and ensuring successful integration of Aerzen blower and compressor equipment and control systems.
  • Driving project and product engineering initiatives, overseeing a diverse range of tasks that involve interfacing with internal and external customers. You will leverage your extensive experience to provide technical guidance, solve complex engineering challenges, and ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Playing an instrumental role in strategic product, and business development efforts. This will involve spearheading research and development endeavors, mentoring junior engineers, and actively contributing to the creation and implementation of new product concepts.
  • As a Level III Engineer, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's technical direction and growth trajectory.     Requirements

    Travel: 0-20% Domestic Travel

    Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC Accredited Program Field of study: Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent engineering degree

    Experience: This position is suitable for engineering professionals capable of demonstrating a mastery of fundamental engineering concepts and 6+ years of relevant work experience in or adjacent to the field of electrical engineering.

    Expertise: Candidates with relevant expertise in the following fields will receive special consideration:

  • Strong knowledge on electric circuit theory, electric machinery, and power electronics
  • Electrical and control system hardware design for machinery applications
  • Control circuit design and implementation
  • Industrial control panel design – Component sizing and selection
  • Electric codes and machinery safety – NEC, UL 508A, NEMA ICS
  • AC motor drive with different methods – VFD, RVSS, Wye-Delta Starting
  • Power quality analysis and harmonic mitigation
  • PLC and HMI/OIT configuration and programming (Allen-Bradley)
  • VFD configuration and programming (Danfoss, Allen-Bradley, WEG)
  • Industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D CAD (Inventor or SolidWorks)
  • Design for manufacturability (DFM)
  • New product introduction (NPI)
  • Engineering product management and standardization
  • Engineering project management
