As a School Health Nurse (LPN/RN) at Rivermont Schools, your compassionate and high-quality care will promote student health and wellness during the school day. You will assist with medication administration, first aid, and health monitoring, all while collaborating with a Certified School Nurse or physician. Your calm and caring demeanor will create a safe and supportive environment where students can focus on their learning.

What You'll Need

• Current Virginia license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• At least two years of experience in providing nursing services to children.
• Knowledge of medical disorders, treatment procedures, medication administration, and infection control.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations concerning school health services.
• Strong communication, documentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A collaborative approach with students, families, staff, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Valid Virginia driver's license.

What You'll Do

• Deliver essential nursing care, first aid, and health support to students throughout the school day.
• Administer medications and document care per physician orders and school policies.
• Monitor and assess students with chronic conditions, reporting any health changes to the Certified School Nurse.
• Support staff in addressing student health needs and effectively communicate with families as appropriate.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant health office environment.
