    Description

    Welcome to Whataburger Careers

    Summary Description: This position is responsible for supporting the maintenance of Whataburger's on-premise and cloud-based Infrastructure Systems. Supports the resolution of technical issues, user provisioning and deprovisioning, and ensuring cloud-based and on-premises systems comply with security and configuration best practices.
    Responsibilities:

    • Performs user provisioning tasks including account moves, adds, and changes.
    • Troubleshoots and remediates permission and login issues.
    • Participates in the development, design, and implementation of the Identity and Access Management Platform
    • Gains a basic understanding of on-premise infrastructure including VMWare ESX, VMs, Microsoft Windows Server platforms, Active Directory, Client Server apps, etc.
    • Gains a basic understanding of cloud platforms and services.
    • Researches and remediates alerts received from the monitoring platform.
    • Engages in and comprehends the IT Change Management Process
    • Documents server and process configurations and performs updates to those documents as environments change.
    • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
    Education:
    • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or
    • Currently enrolled in college and have completed a minimum of 80 hours
    Experience:
    • 0 - 3 months experience
    Knowledge, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
    • Proficiency in data entry and MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in JD Edwards preferred
    • Elementary knowledge of practices and procedures in a particular field of specialization in the execution of assigned duties and responsibilities
    • Elementary understanding of departmental structure and policies of Whataburger Restaurants LLC
    Working Conditions/Travel Requirements:
    • Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities
    • Must be able to report to work timely and as required by operational/business needs
    • Some travel, both locally and long distances, (including air travel), to worksites, meeting sites, and other locations may be necessary
