JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

PhysicalTherapy Assistants work closely with Physical Therapists and other members ofthe multidisciplinary team to provide rehabilitative care to patients in theirhome.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Counsel patientsand their families on their treatment and plan of care
• Observe thepatients they are working with before, during and after therapy and reportnotes to the Physical Therapist
• Assign specificexercises for the patient and help the patients do these exercises
• Use devices, suchas walkers, and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reducepain
• Use a variety oftechniques, including stretching exercises and massage, to treat patients
• Assist patients

REQUIREMENTS:

• Licensed in the State of Wisconsin (preferred)
• Licensed in any state
