    What is the opportunity?

    You will contribute to the holistic planning of our Private Client Group (PCG) by partnering with RBC Financial Advisors and Wealth Strategists to leverage their time, talents and resources in gathering and maintaining assets of high net worth clients. Through the RBC planning process, you will provide expert product knowledge and consultation in addition to serving as the primary internal sales for segment-specific specialty products and services. You will work closely with field leadership, service and support areas within PCG to ensure a collaborative support effort and exceptional client experience. Additionally you will serve as a resource for Financial Advisors with issues affecting ultra and high net worth clients, such as: complex financial, estate, gift and charitable planning, personal trust planning, business succession planning, multi-generational planning and strategies for dealing with concentrated equity positions and employee stock options. Your services could range from preparing for conference calls or in person meetings with Financial Advisors and their individual clients and families, as well as the client's outside legal and tax advisors. Also, you will serve as a subject matter expert developing educational content and conducting client seminars and training sessions for Financial Advisors, other RBC Wealth Management employees, media and outside centers of influence, such as attorneys and Certified Public Accountants.

    What will you do?

    Comprehensive wealth and transfer planning for ultra and high net worth clients

    • Generate or coordinate creation of proposals focusing on client's wealth transfer goals and objectives, including estate, charitable and business succession planning solutions, help recruit advisors and close business.
    • Develop and promote sales ideas and effective business practices, work with advisors to identify opportunities and capture money in motion.
    • Deliver the RBC planning client experience to clients with significant wealth and complex needs
    • Consult with advisors on complex planning cases, provide estate, insurance and succession planning and trust reviews.
    • Conduct "point of sale" presentations with advisors to help drive holistic wealth planning and solutions, coordinate other support as needed.
    • Assist, train and motivate FAs on key financial planning concepts and product solutions to gather assets of high net worth clients.
    • Proactively identify short and long-term business-building activities for individual FAs and teams.
    • Conduct targeted training and development programs.

    Financial Advisor Development

    • Assist, train and motivate financial advisors on key financial planning concepts and product solutions to gather assets of high net worth clients
    • Proactively identify short and long-term business activities for individual financial advisors and teams.
    • Contact top producing FAs regarding new sales, prospecting and training ideas
    • Develop and follow a regular communication plan to support Divisional Directors, Complex Directors, Branch Directors and target financial advisors.
    • Manage assigned territory and track and report any travel, business activities and CRM requirements

    Content and Educational Contribution

    • Conduct targeted training and development programs
    • Contribute contact and present on various topics integral to training and development deliverables for the wealth planning team and across the firm
    • Contribute and develop original thought leadership contact that will be utilized by clients, media, financial advisors and the firm to provide insights and a view on specific themes and planning concepts

    What do you need to succeed?

    Must-haves

    • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, advance degree preferred
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills including advanced presentation skills
    • Securities industry licenses 7 and 66 (or 7, 63 and 65) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
    • Strong customer service focus

    Nice-to-have

    • 5+ years of in-depth expertise in estate or planning products within the Financial Services industry
    • Experience with design and implementation of training program
    • JD and/or CPA, MBA, CFP, CLU and/or ChFC designation
    • Insurance Advanced Marketing experience

    Preferred qualifications

    • 5+ years of in-depth expertise in estate or related field, advanced degree preferred
    • Experience with design and implementation of training programs
