    Description

    • Performing assigned nursing procedures to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
    • Keeping accurate documentation for all assigned patients, including flow sheets.
    • Assisting physicians with examinations and tests as necessary.
    Reporting to the Nurse Manager, Patient Care Tech role involves providing direct bedside care to patients, along with handling respiratory services, rehabilitation services, and phlebotomy.

    Requirements

    Qualifications for this role include:
    • High School Diploma
    • CPR-BLS certification through the American Heart Association
    • Preferred one (1) year experience in an acute care inpatient environment
    • Preferred certification as a Patient Care Tech/Nursing Assistant
    Terms of Employment

    Due to the nature of this role involving regular interactions with children, the selected candidate must comply with the Child Protective Services Act requirements. This includes undergoing background checks from the Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Department of Welfare, and FBI for federal criminal records. Work cannot commence until all checks are satisfactorily completed.

    Terms of Employment

    Covid Vaccination is mandatory for all Jefferson employees working at clinical entities or at the University. If not vaccinated, candidates must receive the vaccine before the hire date unless an approved medical or religious exemption is granted.
