    Marin Community Clinics, founded in 1972, is today, a multi-clinic network with a wide array of integrated primary care, dental, behavioral, specialty and referral services. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide vital health services to almost 40,000 individuals annually in Marin County. The Clinics regularly receive national awards from the Health Resources and Services Administrations (HRSA).     The experienced Physician is responsible for providing and managing quality health care services to patients of Marin Community Clinics. The provider reports directly to the site Medical Director.

    May be eligible for up to $100,000.00 hiring bonus ; prorated if working part time status. (Must qualify under the program)

    Years of Experience Requirement:

    • Physician with three 3-5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical facility

    All employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including "health-care" required boosters as a condition of employment, subject to limited exemptions. New employees are required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and boosted before the first day of employment. If you completed your primary series early boosters,but have not received the most recent booster,you will be required to get the most recent booster and mask until completed if hired.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
    • Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
    • Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
    • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
    • Maintains a professional relationship with staff and patients.
    • Performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve clinic goals and objectives, as directed by the Medical Director.
    • Care team responsibilities as outlined in the Care Team Patient Center Medical Home Procedures.
    Job Requirements :

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    • Must have a current California Physician MD/DO medical license to practice.
    • Physician with three 3-5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical facility.
    • Must have a current California license issued by the Board of Registered Nurses/Medical Board of California.
    • Current registration issued by the DEA allowing the prescription of drugs.
    • Current BLS certification and current national certificate.
    • Experience using electronic health care records Epic highly desired.

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills highly desired but not required.
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Sensitive to the needs and situations of a multi-cultural population from a variety of income levels.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    • Prolonged standing and walking
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
