    Description

    Responsibilities:
    Responsible for the testing of antennas and any other testing required to be performed
    Shall create and document all test procedures, including but not limited to specific tests required to meet customer data requirements
    In consultation with the COR, shall schedule and/or perform all tests, shall write test plans and procedures as required in response to customer requests, and shall provide weekly progress reports, both in writing and verbally, to the COR
    This individual shall ensure a monthly summary of all tasks performed, hours expended, and costs incurred is provided

    Required Capabilities:
    Assist with training Government personnel in the operation and maintenance of hardware, software, systems and subsystems that support the Anechoic Chambers, its equipment, and its testing procedures at the Government's Fort Meade, Maryland facilities
    Assist with the maintenance and minor repairs of all equipment cabling (computer test cabling, specialty cabling, etc.) assigned to or required for operation of the ACTF
    Maintain complete maintenance records on all equipment maintained under the resultant contract
    Perform minor repairs on and maintain in good working order all ancillary equipment not specific to the direct function of the chambers main purpose, to include remote monitoring equipment and computing devices, which enhance the accessibility and function of the chambers and their usage by the host agency
    Perform minor repairs on ACTF integral components, such as doors, lights, video system, RF absorber material, personnel lifts, overhead hoists, loading lift platform, and other ancillary components of the ACTF
    Provide technical support as required to assemble, wire, test, and modify equipment located in the Government's ACTF
    Assist with conducting equipment and antenna tests, maintenance, operation, design, fabrication, and other support functions associated with the Government's ACTF
    Provide for the repair, purchase and replacement of all equipment cabling (computer test cabling, specialty cabling, etc.) assigned to or required for operation of the ACTF
    Assist with assembling, testing, and troubleshooting RF control & Mil Spec cables and connectors
    Assist with conducting equipment and antenna tests, maintenance, operation, design, fabrication, and other support functions associated with the Government's ACTF
    This may include evaluating chamber performance and efficiency, maintenance of shielded doors, shielded access doors for lights, other chamber fixtures, operation and maintenance of hydraulic lift equipment, and maintenance of the various electrical test systems
    Provide for testing activities of antennas and any other equipment testing services and ensure all test procedures are followed and test results are documented
    Provide engineering services as required to design, integrate, operate, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair Radio Frequency (RF) systems, software and hardware as required to maintain continuity of operation in the anechoic chambers
    RF systems may include survey systems, test systems, collection systems, antenna front-end systems and components, etc
    Provide training to Government personnel in the operation and maintenance of hardware, software, systems and subsystems that support the Anechoic Chambers, its equipment, and its testing procedures
    Ensure complete maintenance records on all equipment maintained under the resultant contract are prepared and maintained and shall provide an updated copy of these records to the Government following each scheduled or unscheduled maintenance visits
    Provide for the maintenance and calibration of all test system equipment assigned to the ACTF as required
    Conduct antenna test measurements using techniques and equipment pertinent to Spherical Far Field patterns
    The frequency ranges in which the measurements could span are between 100 MHz – 110 GHz
    Conduct amplitude, phase, cross polarization axial ratio, gain, and antenna pattern measurements
    Conduct antenna Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) measurements, shall analyze antenna feed phase patterns and determine physical location of the antenna's phase center
    Provide engineering and technical support to develop antenna test plans, analyze collected data, and make recommendations for use in operational scenarios, as required
    Perform Characterization of receiver chains as they relate to the calibration of DF antenna arrays
    Conduct Environmental Testing to include temperature, vibration, and humidity

    Qualifications:
    Shall have experience in Anechoic Chambers, Electrical Engineering with specialization in Electromagnetics and Antennas, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in Antenna Testing
    This experience shall include but is not limited to experience in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Grounding and Bonding, Microwave, and Millimeter wave Radio Frequency (RF)
    In addition to or during the 5 years, this individual shall have had a minimum of 2 years' experience with Scientific Atlanta and MI Technologies automated measurement equipment, and a minimum of 1 years' experience operating Scientific Atlanta and MI Technologies Spherical Near Field antenna measurement instrumentation
    Requires a minimum Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university
    Five additional years of experience may be substituted for Degree.
