Job Details

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Aid in the monthly financial close process, encompassing the preparation and input of journal entries, and assist in generating accurate, periodic financial reports.
Compile backlog and Gross Margin Percentage Report.
Assist in assembling monthly reporting packages.
Timely preparation of monthly and quarterly journal entries.
Facilitate loan draws, ensuring all conceivable costs are financed and withdrawn from existing loan commitments.
Conduct balance sheet account analysis and additional analytical procedures as required.
Recognize potential accounting discrepancies or areas for enhancement.
Offer support to external auditors during audits and interim reviews.
Contribute to special projects as needed, potentially involving analysis, documentation, and implementation of new accounting standards and continuous improvement initiatives linked to the monthly and quarterly close process.
Willingly undertake additional duties as delegated.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree with a focus on accounting and/or finance.
Preferably, 2+ years' experience in an accounting or financial reporting capacity.
Ability to function autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficient analytical abilities.
Real estate and/or construction background considered advantageous.
Advanced proficiency in Excel."
