Job summary
This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill part-time, substitute, temporary or hourly assignments as needed.Performs a variety of office support activities within an assigned department or program; areas of responsibility include reception, word processing data entry record keeping and filing; provides information and assistance to students faculty staff the general public and performs related duties as assigned.
- Performs clerical duties in support of an assigned department or program.
- Maintains accurate records verifies accuracy researches resolves discrepancies retrieves information from computer systems databases screens calls visitors incoming mail assists public at front counter directs public to appropriate locations staff responds to complaints requests for information enters public calls into computer databases verifies reviews forms reports completes distributions ensures proper filing copies documents types formats proofreads routine reports letters documents flyers brochures memoranda checks drafts punctuation spelling grammar suggests corrections receives opens time stamps sorts distributes incoming interdepartmental mail prepares distributes outgoing mail compiles gathers updates disseminates various administrative statistical reports schedules meetings sets up meeting rooms may prepare agendas informational packets takes transcribes minutes collects fees payments maintains tracks receipts prepares cash deposits works cooperatively with others demonstrates respect patience equitable treatment internal external customers observes complies District mandated safety rules regulations protocols
