    Description

    Responsibilities:
    Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
    Set up and operate Tig welding equipment, including selecting appropriate welding techniques, settings, and materials.
    Perform precision Tig welding on a variety of metals, ensuring proper penetration, fusion, and appearance.
    Monitor welding process and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
    Inspect welded parts for defects, such as cracks, distortions, and incomplete welds, and make corrections as needed.

    Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.

    Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of welding equipment and materials.
    Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to troubleshoot welding issues and recommend process improvements.
    Complete required documentation, such as welding logs, inspection reports, and work orders.


    Qualifications:
    High school diploma or equivalent.
    Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Tig Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
    Proficiency in Tig welding techniques, including gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and pulse welding.
    Ability to weld various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium, using appropriate filler materials and shielding gases.
    Strong understanding of welding symbols, codes, and standards.
    Familiarity with welding equipment and tools, such as welding machines, torches, electrodes, and grinders.
    Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
    Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
    Welding certifications (e.g., AWS certification) preferred but not required.$30 - $38 an hour
