Role: Hardware Technician
Location: Chandler AZ (Onsite)
Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years working with hardware bare metal builds (installing CPUs, heatsinks, memory, updating motherboard firmware) and server and workstation system configuration.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
Demonstrated skills in decision making, analytical problem solving, organization, planning, and task management.
The primary responsibilities include:
Platform board builds
Receive platform boards and hardware to build out the test systems
Assemble the components/CPU onto the server boards
Update firmware to latest revs from platform BKC
Ensure boards can boot to Windows, Linux, ESXi before releasing for to team
Silicon bring-up, diagnosis, and support for Yield and Physical Failure Analysis.
Platform Test Configuration
Review testing configuration instruction
Configure the platform to meet the test configuration specification (memory, drives, correct BIOS, etc)
Install and initialize the specific OS
Load and install the specific testing tools
Configure the system to meet the testing criteria.
Report back status and/or issue back to the engineer who assigned the task
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) for automation and customization tasks.
Strong experience in Linux system administration and customization
Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
Experience with continuous integration and automated testing.
Knowledge of VROC and VMD
