Duties
The Nurse Manager of the MICU at the Nashville TN VA has designated first-line supervisory authority responsibility& accountability for clinic nursing team operations ensuring that subordinate personnel provide timely nursing care which complies with generally accepted standards of clinical practice.
- >Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates setting priorities
& preparing schedules for completion of work - >Assigning work to subordinates based on priorities selective consideration of the difficulty &
/ requirements of assignments & capabilities of subordinates li>Hearing & resolving complaints
& referring more serious complaints not resolved to higher level supervisors li>Giving advice counsel or instruction to subordinate personnel on work & administrative mattersThis position requires leadership experience in delivering holistic patient-centered care as well as excellent communication skills both written & verbal ability
