Job Summary
The incumbent of this position serves as a Clinical Supervisor in the Clinical Services Administration Department of Behavioral Health DBH The incumbent is primary responsible for planning coordinating and directing a full range of community behavioral health series responsive to the needs of a culturally diverse population Manages an interdisciplinary team and provides direct supervision to staff Plans and coordinates work to be accomplished determines establishes priorities develops schedules for completion of work and makes work assignments Provides direct care assessment services to individuals as well as community partners stakeholders in crisis Exercises initiative leadership acknowledges greets clients providers seeking services Participates in community based emergency service responses with Metropolitan Police Department Responsible for managing supervising an interdisciplinary team ensuring adequate shift coverage planning prioritizing work accomplished providing direct services needed individuals support attending events meetings stakeholders agencies partnering CRT This position is NOT covered by a collective bargaining unit Area of Consideration Open to the Public First Screening Date January 15 2026 And Every Two Weeks Thereafter Tour of Duty 4:00 pm -12:30 am Tuesday-Saturday Worksite Howard Road Washington DC Duration Appointment MANAGEMENT SUPERVISORY SERVICE MSS AT WILL EMPLOYMENT APPLIES TO THE MANAGEMENT SUPERVISORY SERVICE MSS ALL POSITION AND APPOINTMENTS IN THE MSS SERVE AT THE PLEASURE OF THE APPOINTING AUTHORITY AND MAY BE TERMINATED AT ANY TIME WITHOUT CAUSE Qualifications Requirement As basic requirement all applicants must have successfully completed four year course study accredited college university leading Bachelors higher degree which involved major study academic field related health allied sciences This position requires one year specialized experience equivalent next lower grade level normal grade level progression position filled Specialized experience experience directly related position filled equipped candidate particular knowledge skills abilities successfully perform duties position filled Licensure clinician includes LICSW Psychologist RN LPC etc Education Bachelors higher degree which involved major study academic field related health allied sciences Work Experience Experience planning coordinating directing full range community behavioral health services responsive needs population Work Environment Work performed consumer residences community facilities specialized centers throughout District metropolitan area Some degree hazard present working emotionally disturbed consumers families caretakers Position Designation Position deemed Protection Sensitive pursuant Section Chapter D.C Personnel Regulations Individuals applying occupying protection sensitive positions subject following checks tests Criminal background check Traffic record check applicable Pre-employment drug alcohol test Reasonable suspicion drug alcohol test Post-accident incident drug alcohol test Return-duty follow-up drug alcohol test THIS POSITION REQUIRES PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL Residency Preference Person applying career education management supervisory line attorney excepted attorney who bona fide District resident time application awarded ten-point residency preference over non-District applicants unless person declines preference points If selected person required present proof bona fide District residency maintain such residency seven consecutive years effective date appointment Failure maintain bona fide District residency period result forfeiture employment EEO Statement The District Columbia Government Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified candidates will receive consideration regard race color religion national origin sex age marital status personal appearance sexual orientation family responsibilities matriculation physical handicap political affiliation
