    job summary:
    A Technician Associate is needed for a world class utility company in the New Haven, IN area. This position gathers site data, communicates with customers, designs electrical distribution systems, creates work orders, drives camera rigs for facility pictures, and applies technical knowledge, leadership, and problem-solving skills in a utility industry setting.

    responsibilities:
  • Gather site data of Distribution facilities

  • Communicate with customers

  • Problem-solving

  • Electrical Distribution design using internal software

  • Create work order/work packets for line crew

  • Focus on pole replacements initially, with potential for bigger projects

  • Drive new camera rig throughout the District to capture facility pictures

  • Prefer candidates good with computer software, quick learner, self-motivated, with good customer service skills and confidence Minimum Requirements:

    Education and Work Experience:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of related utility industry work experience

  • OR an Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/Mechanical Engineering Technology or related fields Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency:

  • Possesses technical knowledge acquired from an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology

  • Gains knowledge of standards, codes, and regulations relevant to the area of assignment

  • Assists employees with routine problems

  • Basic computer literacy

  • Leadership & Guidance:

  • Works as assigned and coached by higher-level employees

  • Demonstrates ability to work with others and seek assistance

  • Planning & Organization Ability:

  • Plans work according to company standard practices

  • Prioritizes work to meet company demands

  • Applies technical knowledge to resolve problems
