    St. Mary's Parish is a vibrant Catholic congregation located in historic Annapolis, Maryland serving over 5,000 families.
    St. Mary's Parish includes St. Mary's Church, St. John Neumann Mission Church, St.
    Mary's Elementary School and St. Mary's High School.

    The parish is seeking to fill the position of Principal of the High School with a dynamic leader to guide the education of approximately 520 students in grades 9 through 12.


    Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
    In conjunction with and reporting directly to, the School President, the

    High School Principal:
    Is the spiritual and educational leader responsible for all aspects of high school life, operations and safety, in accordance with Archdiocesan policies and protocols,
    Works consistently toward improving the quality of instruction by selecting exceptional teachers and by fostering the professional growth of the instructional staff,

    Provides direct supervision, evaluation, motivation and guidance to the Assistant Principals, faculty, and support staff,
    Inspires colleagues to work to their fullest potential, taking the lead role in the creation of a culture of excellence and accountability,

    Works with the Elementary School Principal to encourage collaboration and community between the two units (Elementary School and High School) of St.

    Mary's School,
    Aids in formulating strategic enrollment goals and actively recruiting families to the school,
    Embodies, manifests, and advocates Catholic faith and spirituality while promoting a Christ-centered environment,
    Effectively communicates with parents and other constituents so that the mission, philosophy, educational goals, and other aspects of the Parish and Schools are clearly articulated,
    Seeks to facilitate and coordinate spiritual, academic, and community programs in the High School.


    Position Qualifications:
    Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Catholic education,
    Practicing Roman Catholic obedient to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, fully able to participate in the sacramental life of the Church,
    Master's degree in educational administration, curriculum development or similar focus, from an accredited institution,
    Advanced Professional Certificate with an Administrator II endorsement,
    Three or more years of core subject teaching experience in a Catholic school (high school level preferred),
    Administrative experience in a Catholic school (i.e., Principal, Assistant Principal, Curriculum Coordinator, etc.).
