- Maintains dental instruments through sharpening, sterilizing, and selection.
- Evaluates patient's oral health to select materials and equipment for hygiene visit.
- Cleans deposits and stains from teeth and below gum margins during prophylaxis.
- Helps dentists during emergencies with CPR certification, emergency drugs, and oxygen supply.
- Documents vital signs, medical and dental histories in patient records.
- Adheres to infection-control policies and protects patients and employees.
- Manages dental supplies inventory and conserves resources.
- Uses equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job.
