    The Quality Engineer supports the Quality Director.

    This person will serve as the company quality liaison on major contracts, participate as a consultant to our sales group in interpreting customer requirements, serve as an advisor and technical support for quality-related issues and back-up the Quality Assurance team in key activities.

    This individual will contribute to quality initiatives and assist in maintaining Tioga's Quality System - Nuclear along with Tioga's other Quality programs, i.e.

    The candidate should be familiar with ASME and ASTM material specifications. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
    Minimum of five years previous experience in an ASME or other certified program in power generation or energy industries
    Previous experience as a mechanical Inspector preferred
    Working knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel
    Knowledge of steel products, manufacturing, specifications and applications preferred
    Good mathematical and mechanical aptitude

    Serve as a Lead auditor, conduct supplier surveillance audits
    Collect and interpret data, and develop reports in support of Key Performance Indicators / Metrics and Management Reviews
    Develop and conduct QA training as needed


    Strong ethical integrity with the ability to distinguish between non-compromising standards but have the ability to offer creative solutions to achieve resolution for undefined requirements.

    Excellent time management skills as well as effective and efficient call planning.
    Travel

    Willingness and ability to travel to suppliers' locations on a regular basis, may include occasional international travel.
