- Develop and assist private non-profit housing corporations, subsidized housing, and other housing programs to develop a statewide program.
- Develop and write grant applications.
- Develop resources, applications and proposals for funding housing and housing related projects.
- Provide program oversight and quality monitoring of grants and contracts related to housing services and supports.
- Convene internal and external stakeholder meetings as requested and required through housing contracts, grants, and policy development.
- Serve as a liaison with MaineHousing and local housing authorities to assure the housing needs are represented and collaborate on housing initiatives as needed.
- Work with programs within the OADS, including Money Follows the Person Demonstration grant, to develop housing alternatives in the community.

This is a full-time position located in Augusta and allows for partial telework with management approval.
Core Responsibilities:
This position is essential to the daily operations of the Long-Term Service and Support (LTSS) programs serving older and disabled adults.
In this position you will provide housing transition support, housing information and referral, housing assessment to enrollees of Maine's Money Follows the Person demonstration grant as well as adults statewide.
You will also engage in program and policy development related to long term care housing services and serve as a liaison between DHHS and Maine State Housing Authority and other entities as necessary to monitor and support activities related to housing development and/or expansion initiatives.
In addition, you will be responsible for the program management and oversight of contracts and services provided under Maine's state funded assisted living programs.
Major Duties Include:
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a Social Service, Social Work, Public or Business Administration, or related area and two (2) years' experience in aging-related housing development, advocacy, urban planning, gerontology, or community development; Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
1) A demonstrated knowledge of State and Federal Housing and Community Development Programs for older and disabled adults.
2) A demonstrated knowledge of contract, budgeting, and grant writing.
3) A demonstrated ability to develop and administer a comprehensive social service program.
4) A demonstrated knowledge of State and Federal Housing Policies.
