    Custodial SupervisorPOSITION SUMMARYCandidate must be able to perform duties and tasks of maintaining the cleanliness and appearances of various types of floors by using the proper machinery necessary.

    When not performing floor tech duties the incumbent will assist the janitorial staff. Candidate must be able to perform routine tasks by maintaining the cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and appearance of the building(s). The Custodian cleans and maintains assigned areas to meet customer and client satisfaction.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSweeping, mopping, stripping, buffing, sealing, polishing, and finishing floors as needed and as requested.

    Steam clean, spot clean or shampoo carpetsAccurately perform assigned tasks such as cleaning and sanitizing restroom facilities and replenish/stock supplies as needed.

    May be required to perform "dusting of high areas."Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment.
    Maintains a clean and orderly environment.
    Properly cleans and maintains multiple areas as assigned.
    Floor care of both hard and carpeted floors is a must. This includes extraction, vacuuming, bonneting of carpeting.

    Care of concrete, terrazzo and Vinyl floor resurfacing, cleaning, and maintenanceFollows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports to designated areas.

    Empty, clean and sanitize waste receptacles.
    Ability to self-direct and perform work and tasks as needed without constant direction and supervision.
    Dust and polish furniture, metal surfaces, blinds, woodwork, fixtures and equipment, clean desks and counter tops as needed.
    Completes any daily paperwork as required.
    Other duties as assigned.
    JOB REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be able to pass an extensive background check.

    Must be familiar with cleaning and maintaining floors of various materials:
    terrazzo, granite, marble, and vinyl.
    Understand and be able to communicate in English.
    Be able to understand and follow written direction.
    Ability to read and comply with labels and OSHA safety warnings on cleaning agents and hazardous materials.
    Candidate must be able to perform strenuous physical activity as it relates to floor technician duties.
    Must be able to pass an extensive background check.

    Be able to perform strenuous physical activity related to custodial duties such as sweeping and mopping, operating vacuums, re-stocking supplies, dusting.

    Be able to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and an ability to make sound judgments in making decisions.
    Be able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with your supervisor and other colleagues.
    Be able to communicate effectively and respectively with all levels of an organization, tenants, and clients.
    Hard floor care is a must for this position, some knowledge/ experience is a must.
    Some experience in general building maintenance.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, communicate, and use repetitive motions.

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee may frequently lift and or move 50 pounds of materials.

    The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.

    Exposure to wet and humid conditions, fumes, chemicals, and dust are to be expected.
    Exposure to the external environment may bring the candidate/employee into contact with increment weather.
