    This is a hybrid role and will require an onsite presence at Assembly Row in Somerville 1x/week.

    The Finance & Regulatory Reporting Manager will be part of an interdisciplinary accounting and reporting team responsible for overseeing the monthly journal entries and accounts reconciliations, quarterly & annual regulatory reporting, and annual external audits.

    S/he is responsible for oversight and validation of general ledger account reconciliations relating to complex business relationships, manage the delivery of regulatory reporting requirements, supporting management through discussion/analysis and collaborate with internal and external customers to execute on financial reporting controls.



    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Responsibilities:

    Assist with monthly general ledger close, reporting, and general ledger account reconciliations.

    Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting data to internal and external customers while successfully executing on financial reporting controls.

    Monitor executing and documenting key controls and policies & procedures, including, but not limited to regulatory filings, management discussion and analysis, quality assurance validations and review, proper sign-offs on inputs from dependent sources.

    Supervise team members to timely and accurately prepare, review, and submit financial reports for management review.

    Prepare insightful analysis to convey the underlying story to the key constituents timely, in a clear and concise manner.

    Research and interpret changes in accounting policies, standards, competitive landscape, and emerging trends.

    Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies within the accounting and reporting processes beyond the scope of responsibilities listed.

    Provide accounting analysis and liaison support to regulatory, internal and external auditors during audits, examinations, and validations.

    Qualifications


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Knowledge and Education

    Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance

    CPA or Masters degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance


    EXPERIENCE

    Minimum of 7-10 years related industry experience

    GAAP and Statutory-basis (SSAP) accounting & reporting

    Experience managing a team

    Medicaid & Medicare reporting

    Regulatory reporting and filings for Insurance
