    Overview/Summary:

    The Warehouse Supervisor manages and oversees all warehouse activities, ensures efficient processes, and maximizes warehouse productivity related to the Distribution Center and related facilities mainly located around Ottawa, IL.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    · Managing, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse productivity.

    · Oversee shipping of all customer orders. Ensure all orders are picked and shipped accurately and on time.

    · Oversee receiving to ensure their prompt processing and posting in the current system.

    · Ensure the accuracy of inventory transferences to their correct physical and virtual locations for finished goods, components and customer returns as well as any other inventory moves.

    · Organize and conduct regular and consistent cycle counts, according to an established schedule. Review and research inventory discrepancies. Make adjustments in Abas as dictated by policy.

    · Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.

    · Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Enforce compliance with all health, safety, OSHA and FDA standards and policies.

    · Support in maintaining the facility for audits.

    · Train workers on the proper use of warehouse equipment.

    · Be sure all warehouse equipment is operated safely and according to instructions and procedures. Ensure preventative maintenance is occurring, troubleshoot breakdowns, and call for repairs.

    · Monitor and ensure that all certifications are up‐to‐date including driver licenses, forklift certifications, etc.

    · Suggest strategies and initiatives to reduce costs and drive continuous improvements.

    · Act as backup the Warehouse Manager as required, especially during absence.

    In the Warehouse Manager's absence, write up warehouse incidents, accidents and injuries as soon as they occur. Notify and escalate appropriate personnel immediately

    · Provide orientation for new hires and temporary workers.

    · Provide leadership, supervision, guidance, coaching, and counseling to warehouse associates. Use effective interpersonal skills to interact with and manage workers.

    · Measure and report the effectiveness of employee performance.

    · Handle disciplinary matters and grievances as necessary. Provide documentation of incidents to HR.

    · Delegate tasks to warehouse leads to assist with the management of warehouse tasks and personnel.

    · Provide team building and motivational support to encourage positive morale and a positive warehouse culture. Promote communication, cooperation and collaboration.

    COMMUNICATION

    · Use effective, innovative approaches to problem-solving. Solicit input and assistance as needed.

    · Participate in the regularly scheduled leadership meetings that include supervisors, leads and the Warehouse Manager.

    OTHER/MISCELLANEOUS

    · Assist with other projects as needed and requested.

    Experience, Education and Requirements

    · Certification or Degree in Accounting, Supply Chain or related field.

    · Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant in-depth experience in an operational environment (manufacturing or warehouse) preferred.

    · Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant in-depth experience in receiving, cycle counts, bills of materials and inventory systems within manufacturing plants or warehouses preferred.

    · Highly organized, strong quantitative analytical and problem-solving skills.

    · Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
